How long does phone number (A2P) registration take?

Before Simple Downline can send any texts, the carriers have to register your phone number. This is called A2P registration, and it's a required step. Your scheduled messages start going out only after the number is approved.

Who handles it

The carriers do the approving, not Simple Downline. We submit your number, then it sits in review on their end. Most numbers clear within about a week.

Why it can take longer

Sometimes the carriers kick a number back on the first pass. When that happens, it goes right back in and waits for review again, which adds more time. There's nothing wrong with your account when this happens, and there's nothing extra you need to do.

What to do while you wait

Nothing on your side. We're watching the status for you and will let you know as soon as your number is approved. Until then, any messages scheduled to send are held and will catch up once the number clears.
