Why do I see two charges when I upgrade my plan?

If you started on one plan and upgraded to a higher one the same day, you'll see two charges. That's a single plan change, not two separate purchases.

What the two charges mean

The first charge is your starting plan. The second charge is the upgrade.

When you upgrade, that second invoice credits back the amount you just paid on the starting plan, then charges the remaining time on the new plan. So the first charge gets rolled into the upgrade rather than added on top of it.

Your real cost is the second (upgrade) amount.

Where your Life Steps discount shows up

If you have the Life Steps subscriber discount, it comes off both charges. You'll see it applied to the starting plan and again to the upgrade, so you don't lose it when you switch plans.

Reading it as an example

• Starting plan charge: the plan price with your discount taken off.
• Upgrade charge: your starting plan amount credited back, plus the remaining time on the new plan, with the discount applied again.

The net you pay is the upgrade charge.
