Does Simple Downline support MMS (picture texts), and how many credits does an MMS use?
Yes, Simple Downline supports MMS. A campaign text with an image or your contact card attached sends as a picture text (MMS) instead of a plain SMS.
How to send a picture text
Attach an image or your contact card to a campaign message, including a Life Steps message. A text with either attachment sends as MMS to your recipients.
How MMS affects credits
A short plain text usually uses 1 SMS credit per recipient. Longer texts use one credit per carrier segment, so they can cost more. Emoji and some special characters can also increase the segment count.
A picture text or contact card uses at least 2 SMS credits per recipient. If its text takes more than two segments, it uses one credit for each segment. The message editor shows an estimate while you write. Personalization and opt-out text can change the final message, so check the estimate when planning a send. See Plans and credits for more detail.
