Campaigns

Smart, Drip, and Custom campaigns, and how to send them.

Smart, Drip, and Custom campaigns

The three campaign types in Simple Downline and when to use each.

Creating a new campaign

Build a campaign from scratch: pick a type, target an audience, add messages, and turn it on.

Turning on a campaign

Activate a Smart campaign and send your first messages.

Editing messages and adding personalization

Customize wording, edit subjects, and insert personalization variables.

Sends and upcoming sends

Past campaign deliveries appear under Sends. Upcoming ones show on Home.

Why a message still shows in Upcoming Sends after it already sent

If a message shows as sent but still appears in your Upcoming Sends box, the list just hasn't refreshed yet. It updates every afternoon and won't double-send.

Why isn't the name filling in on my text?

If your message shows the tag text instead of a real name, the personalization tag was typed as plain text. Here's how to fix it.

Why didn't my scheduled campaign send?

If a custom campaign you scheduled didn't go out, the most common reason is the campaign switch was still off when the send ran.

Tips Opt-In vs Tips: how the tips keyword and toggle work

Tips Opt-In and Tips are two separate campaigns. Turning Tips on won't resend the opt-in, it just lets people who reply "tips" start getting the tips messages.

Editing a smart campaign (duplicate to customize)

Smart campaigns can't be edited directly, so duplicate one to make an editable copy where you can add a signature or a personal note.

Does Simple Downline support MMS (picture texts), and how many credits does an MMS use?

Simple Downline supports MMS by attaching an image to a campaign message, and a picture text costs more credits per person than a plain text.
