Groups, filters, and tags

Simple Downline gives you three ways to control which contacts get which messages: groups, filters, and tags. They serve different purposes.

Groups

Groups bundle contacts together so you can target a campaign at a specific subset. Examples include "Inactive Customers", "Loyalty Members", or contacts in a specific city.

Filters

Tags

Tags label individual contacts ("VIP", "Already a customer") so you can find or exclude them later.
