Groups, filters, and tags
Simple Downline gives you three ways to control which contacts get which messages: groups, filters, and tags. They serve different purposes.
Groups
Groups bundle contacts together so you can target a campaign at a specific subset. Examples include "Inactive Customers", "Loyalty Members", or contacts in a specific city.
Filters
Filters are personal rules that prevent duplicate messages and protect key relationships. Set them up once and they apply across every campaign.
Tags
Tags label individual contacts ("VIP", "Already a customer") so you can find or exclude them later.
