How to stop texting a specific contact
Sometimes a person in your contacts is someone you'd rather just text from your personal phone, like a spouse or a close friend. If they're eligible for one of your campaigns, Simple Downline may text them and use credits. Their replies also land in your Simple Downline inbox instead of your personal phone.
To stop Simple Downline texts to that contact record, turn on Text Opt Out. If two contacts share a number, you can leave the right contact eligible while opting out the duplicate record.
Turn on Text Opt Out
- Open Contacts and tap the person.
- Tap the three dots in the top right and choose Edit.
- Turn on Text Opt Out, then tap Save.
Simple Downline will not send campaign texts to that opted-out contact. Other contacts sharing the number keep their own Text Opt Out settings. If the person replied STOP, their phone number is blocked separately; ask them to text START or SUBSCRIBE from that phone to resume texts. Changing a contact's switch does not clear a phone-level STOP.
