Importing contacts during setup

Most of your contacts sync automatically from Young Living, so for a lot of people there's nothing extra to do. If you're moving over from another texting service, the import step lets you bring those contacts in from a CSV export so you don't start from scratch.

Have you used another texting service?

The import step asks "Have you used a texting service like Project Broadcast before?" with two choices:

  • Yes, import my contacts. Upload a CSV export from Project Broadcast or a similar service.
  • No, skip this step. Add contacts later.

Uploading your CSV

Upload your contacts CSV screen with a file picker
Export your contacts as a CSV, then tap to select the file.

If you choose to import, the next screen asks you to upload your contacts CSV. Export your contacts from Project Broadcast (or a similar service) as a CSV file, then tap to select it. The app accepts CSV files only.

Once a file is selected, the Map your Tips tag section appears below it.

When the import runs, we match existing contacts by email, phone number, or Member ID, so you don't end up with duplicates of contacts you already have.

If your CSV already tags contacts for tips, select that tag to carry over their opt-in.

Simple Downline has a Tips campaign that sends daily tips to opted-in contacts. If your CSV already has contacts tagged for tips, select that tag and we'll carry over their opt-in, so they keep getting tips without having to opt in again.

Skipping the import

The import is optional. Choose No, skip this step (or Skip on the upload screen) to finish setup without importing, and add contacts later.
